VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

FIRE DEPARTMENT
AND/OR
FIRST RESPONDERS

The Town of Alden has had fire services from 5 different fire departments in the past.  This past year we have narrowed it down to 4.  This has been done to help serve our residents better and to cut costs.

A little over two years ago, we started talking to Dresser, Osceola and Garfield (DOG) fire department to see if they can help serve our town better and at less cost.  We have entered into a tentative agreement with them for a possible expansion of the area they cover for us for fire protection.

In 2014, the Town of Alden purchased land that did not sell on the County Tax Delinquent Auction for a possible future site for a fire hall.  This is the old Miller property located on the intersection of 185th and West Church Road.

We are going to need residents that are interested in serving as volunteer fireman and women along with first responders if we are going to be able to move forward with this project.  DOG is going to start looking at building plans in 2017 with the possibility of building in 2018.
